Meet Bex

My journey into this work didn’t begin with yoga.

It began with overwhelm.

In 2017, while 30 weeks pregnant with my daughter Bonnie, I suddenly experienced deafness in my right ear and 24/7 tinnitus. My nervous system went into complete shock. Nothing externally was helping — and I felt anxious, overstimulated and deeply unsettled.

That was when I turned inward.

This became a turning point

In 2018, I began a committed self-healing journey through Reiki. What started as support became a deep practice. I moved through the levels, immersed myself in meditation, and experienced what I can only describe as a spiritual awakening — not dramatic, but deeply grounding. A remembering.

During this time, in meditation, I felt a clear inner guidance to train as a yoga teacher. I was specifically drawn to Apanaveda Yoga School — its philosophy, its depth, its alignment with energy and embodiment.

With a one-year-old and six-year-old twins at home, it wasn’t the easiest timing. And halfway through the nine-month training in 2020, Covid hit. Lockdown began. I was at home with three children, running a business, navigating uncertainty — like so many of us were.

But this was the moment I realised something powerful.

It wasn’t external circumstances that created steadiness.

It was the tools.

Breathwork.
Slow, mindful movement.
Meditation.
Reiki.
Micro energy practices.

These became my anchors. They regulated my nervous system. They allowed me to stay present, calm and connected — even in challenge.

And from that lived experience, a deep calling emerged.

Today, through embodied yoga and Reiki, I guide overwhelmed nervous systems back to safety.

I support people who feel overstimulated, burnt out, disconnected or simply tired of holding everything together. My approach is gentle yet powerful — rooted in breath, awareness and subtle energy.

This work is not about performance.
It is about regulation.
It is about empowerment.
It is about remembering there is more to this experience than just the physical.

My classes and sessions are spaces to soften, to settle and to reconnect with your inner steadiness.

You don’t need to be flexible.
You don’t need to be spiritual.
You just need to be willing to begin.
